My goal as an artist is to convey visual excitement to the observer so hopefully they can share the interest, curiosity and enjoyment I experienced while creating the painting.

To arrive at this juncture in my art career has required study of art history, and seeing first hand the works of the great masters by visiting galleries and museums throughout the world.

I also believe some of the best artists in the country reside here in the Pacific Northwest. It is from this group I mainly choose for continued studies through workshops and class work.

The stimulation of museum settings, the interaction in workshop situations, and painting outdoors on site (en plein air) are some of the things that help me grow as an artist.
